Does It Matter What Kind Of Window Tint I get?
You get what you pay for. It may sound harsh but those words have never been truer. Colorado Auto Window Tint Rules & Regulations
Every state has its own set of rules and regulations when it comes to automotive window tint. It is always best to familiarize yourself with these rules before looking to tint your vehicle.
General guidelines pertaining to Colorado Automotive Window Tint include:
Visible Light Transmission– The measurement of light that can pass through your window tint, also known as VLR. The lower the VLR number the darker the tint. While it all depends on the type of vehicle you have, VLR numbers should be at 27% or above.
Type of Vehicle Matters– In the State of Colorado, the set of auto window tint regulations varies depending on if you have a car, truck, SUV, van or a commercial vehicle.
No Mirrors/Metallics– Mirrored and Metallic window tint is not permitted on the front, side or back window of the vehicle.
Required Mirrors– Should you have the back windows of your vehicle tinted you are required to have mirrors as an extra precaution.
